Rainy Days

What do you do on a rainy day? I tend to laze around a bit when it’s raining outside. Maybe the cold weather has a way of calming down the nerves and putting me in a relaxed mood. Not that I feel like sleeping on rainy days. I just feel more in touch with listening to nature’s music and hearing the raindrops making a rhythmic sound on the roof and the ground.

The rain has its own way of bringing to a standstill the neighborhood’s everyday street sound and happenings as bystanders and children playing outside had to take shelter inside their houses. While sunny days tend to put me in an upbeat and sometimes crazy mood, rain is nature’s way of telling me to slow down and just listen. I don't need to feel anything at all.

I'm thankful for the rain... I definitely need it right now.
